The used a cell line obtained FROM aborted fetal tissue, no?
A cell line obtained long ago. The cells used now are duplicates of the original cell taken from the fetus. My point was that the thread title suggests they are using actual fetal tissue, when they aren’t, and they aren’t using anything from any recently aborted fetus.

Most of us oppose murder. A man is murdered, and his organs could be transplanted to save human lives. Should we throw the organs in the dumpster because we are against murder?
One of the most important cell lines used in medical research are HeLa cells. The original cells were taken from a cervical cancer tumor of a woman (Henrietta Lacks), without her knowledge or consent. Cells from this line were used by Jonas Salk to develop the polio vaccine, have been a big part of developing HPV vaccines, and have been sent to space for research. But, again, the original cells were taken from her without her consent. Should we stop using them?

If you need a liver transplant and a young man is shot in the head while being robbed, will you not accept the liver because you would receive it from someone who was murdered?
