Talk dealer cost or invoice price.

Just use truecar.com

Zero hassle, pick car you want with all the specs, then submit. Car companies compete over you in the background based on local inventory, and the lowest price dealer wins, sending you an email with a kick arse price. Walk into dealership, and pay that price. Done.

Awesome here in Orlando, not sure if they have it in Louisiana. Usually, they call and offer an even cheaper price than what was emailed.

You don't need to limit yourself to a nearby dealer either. Shipping cars is pretty cheap. Do the whole deal remotely and have the car dropped off at your door within a few days. No need to fly there and drive it back.

Are you limited to where your warranty work is done to the location of the dealership? If I purchased in Houston could I get warranty work done in Nola?

It's amazing how much of a better deal you get in Houston. Exact same Audi q5 was 3800 less

They'll do it but don't expect much if you bought somewhere else

No way in hell do I ever make a purchase like without at least driving the model I want to buy. Doesn't have to be THE car, but at least one of the same model.

I've bought 12 vehicles over Internet, email and phone in last 10 years all from Texas and all 5-10% cheaper than anyone in Louisiana. Didn't drive any until I picked them up. I don't even look in Louisiana anymore.

I just purchased a new Tacoma from Toyota of Slidell and was very satisfied. After going to dealerships in NOLA area and BR, Slidell took the cake.

Car salesmen are still dirt dicks, you should be ashamed of yourself if you are one. I would respect you more if you worked at McDonalds.
