Why can’t adults enjoy the Super Bowl and not get so terribly drunk that they need a day of rest. Sounds like a snowflake mentality.

It’s not just about alcohol. People with younger children have to feed them dinner, get them bathed and into bed for school the next day all within the time the game is on.

Well, since the Super Bowl is already played during black history month, just move MLK day to the day after the Super Bowl. Easy fix.

He is right in this one IMO.

They don’t want to compete with Saturday night. It takes away the casual fan who may go out elsewhere for a number of reasons being a Saturday.

Sunday has always been the NFLs. Much to do with gambling. An entire day dedicated to the sports that lends itself to betting more than most. Except horse racing. If you consider horse racing a sport.

I doubt that many people would tune out on a Saturday. It would still be THE event for the evening.
It’s cold, dark by 6pm and there’s literally nothing going on this time of year. Moving the game to Saturday is the obvious move. The game should have been last night and I should be watching reruns of the Office with a mild hangover right now.

If the game were on a Saturday night, it would be less painful to let the kids stay up until the game is over. No one wants to do all that shite when the game is on.

Just do like all smart people. Take a floating holiday or vacation day. Not sure what the big deal is.

I'm giving you permission to take the day off...don't go to work Monday, I'll let 'em know!

A different idea would be to take a vacation day of you can’t handle the day after.

Just what Goodell’s ego needs: the power to shut off the American economy for one day for people to watch tv a few hours on Sunday.

Not that the viewership would suffer that much but the logic is you aren't going to have as many plans Sunday afternoon as you will Saturday.

Yes to Saturday Play it before Presidents Day holiday Monday Problem solved

This is the simplest solution. Since the NFL keeps extending the season, the holiday may not need to move.

Next thing you know Mardi Gras will follow the Super Bowl every year and New Orleans will only be able to get the Superbowl on the years that Mardi Gras falls very early in the month.

It would make more sense to have it aligned with the President’s Day holiday. I just realized we have that as a holiday now for the first time in my working career. I guess it aligns with Lundi Gras this year, but I’d have no problem moving it to the Monday after the Superbowl.

All of our holidays are floating holidays... still wouldn't waste one on a Monday after the superbowl. They would rather us cash them out anyhow... IDK why they offer time off if they never want people to use it.

My coworkers are going to be late, grouchy, and hung over tomorrow. I vote for a Saturday game.
