I'll say both "Buy-you" and "Buy-yah." My folks who have lived in Houma and surrounding areas say "buy-yah."

The camp I've been going to the last 25 years was featured on Cajun Justice a lot
most notably, the episode where they caught the ghost hunters
I've heard some pretty horrible noises at that camp, but none came from ghosts
