Pro Travelers: Allegiant, are they terrible?

Heading to Indy for the 500 and Allegiant offers a nonstop out of MSY.

The tickets are super-cheap so I am assuming we'll have to fuel the plane, check the oil, and bring our own sandwiches.

Anyone fly them?

Most on here think Spirit was awful. Had zero issues with spirit. I'd take bad airline reviews with a grain of salt.
