I read somewhere that in MN the half siblings hold the same weight as full siblings. So that money will be split 8 ways I believe.
Even if it went 8 ways, that's still $37.5MM a piece. You're a greedy bastard if you think you deserve more than that.

I believe that unreleased music in that vault is probably worth somewhere around another $300 million or more. It's probably the most extensive collections of unreleased music by any major artist. I did the calculation yesterday. If they released a 12 song album every month. We would get 16 years worth of new Prince music.

In that Kevin Smith speech that's been going around, he mentioned that a lady told him she had produced around 50 music videos for Prince. Full sets, costumes, everything for 50 fully produced and finished music videos for songs that have never been released. And that's just music videos. God knows how many complete songs/albums are in that vault.

One of the truisms of life is that when it comes to found money, everyone is a greedy bastard.

Hope she or the rest of the family release that music. What's the point of keeping it closed forever. Don't know why people don't have a will, especially if their are rich and famous.

I've heard anecdotes of something like 20 to 25 albums could be released on short notice. However, that was some time ago and he's released another 10 or so albums. Assuming the stories are true and he recorded no new material during that time, could still be 10 sitting out there. Of course, he appears to have been able to record material faster than he released it.

Could be another 20 to 25. Certainly whoever it is who ends up with the estate will get them out. They're worth more than ever now, and that only gets better in the future.

They're all about to get 10 times that if they release his catalog.

I saw a great documentary on Bob Marley and it discussed his estate. He had many kids with many different women and his estate is still banking millions every year.
