Do not make it 2" thick. You will regret it.
4" minimum as someone else mentioned.

If someone agrees to pour you a two inch thick patio you’re dealing with the wrong person.

16x24 4” thick cost me a little over $2000. I’m in the central Louisiana area

Area next to house doesn't get sun, so its a muddy mess. Didn't know how thick it should be so thanks for correcting me.

I would start with 4 inches.
If you are dropping some bodies in under the concrete you probably will have a steep upcharge.

that's about 6 yards of crete, call a couple of local companies and get quotes, drive by residential construction areas and stop where crews of Mexicans are forming up sidewalks/driveways, ask for el jefe, and get quote from him, they could grade/form that in about an hour(or less) after work, come back the next day and pour and finish it, you're welcome
ETA: might even get contractors price on crete if they have an afternoon pour and can piggy back the order with their job

I dread replacing my driveway. It's 125' long and 11' wide for the first 75' and 25' wide for the last 50'

No, it's about 6 cu yds.
Figure $35 a sq yard. 12x40 is 53.33 sq yds......so about $1600.

Excellent advice
Also, might be good to plop some mesh or rebar if you are keeping the property for some time. Another suggestion is to seal it to make it last longer. The redcoat the sealer every year or two.

at least you have plenty of room in case fil comes over and decides to back out the full length, be positive

Older remodeled house. They didn't slack on driveways back in the late 70s

really, making up for it now, got these huge McMansions all over where I'm at, with driveways that can barely get two golf carts side by side, and ain't no way you're getting two vehicles in most of these garages

Yep. I see all of these 450k houses that can't fit 3 cars in the driveway. Mine could probably fit 10+ and we have a 2 car garage.
