Fair enough. I did my share of shining those damn things. Also did my share of pushups when they weren't shined to the standards that were expected. Still hate Brasso!

Happen to know a Buff radar-nav who graduated LSU AFROTC in the 83 timeframe? Way before your time but worth a shot. Initials CE.

Actually I do. He was a Lt Col and an instructor at the B-52 Formal Training Unit (FTU) when I went through initial B-52 navigator training in 2001.

How many are enrolled in the LSU ROTC right now?
I'm not even going to guess. Thanks if anybody knows the number.

Yes I am. I'm a Radar Nav myself, but right now I work on the staff at Air Force Global Strike Command as the Chief of B-52 Requirements. Tell your brother thanks for me. Don't know if he remembers me, but he actually instructed me on one of my sorties when I was getting my initial qualification in the B-52. My initials are GB.

After that it was cut from the budget.

It wasn't cut. We were told that it was causing "foundational damage" and they decided to hire the 20K Fireworks show instead.

They've been saying that for years. For instance in 2011 they 100% knew before the first game that it had been causing "damage", but did it anyway. That's a BS excuse IMO.
