A cheap pos hummer like yours just needs 86 octane
H3 was just a Chevy Colorado or GMC Canyon with an uglier body dropped on it. Izzuzu also had a light truck application to that assembly.

That was 15 years ago and it was 3 and 4 dollars a gallon, could not imagine the cost today
Probably about the same price as it was then
Yup. 100LL is $3.45 at Drake Field
Here's a handy site I use to check fuel prices.

It's certainly a real thing at 30psi boost when the water injection solenoid decides to go out.
Yep it's also real when you have 13.5:1 compression and 42 degrees of total timing

Thanks for the info.
He actually told me that for a 2005 BMW that I own (now driven by daughter). I assumed it applied to the 2014 Mercedes since they both require high octane gas. Is he at least on point about using brand name gas?

I tend to agree.
Octane is octane, but Shell and Chevron, etc. have better formulas and detergents.
I only run Chevron b/c I am a believer in Techron.

Yes. Though between BP, Shell, Exxon, etc it doesn't matter.
