Every Liberal rag in the country will soon be posting this 16 year old kids' Kindergarten picture in an effort to further ramp up the hatred of all Police....

The shooting was justified.

These raids are an abomination though.

Have an adult read and explain the story to you.

You know what is truly amazing is no one has said a word about the impact of killing a 16 year old, no matter the circumstances, would have on most people including most cops. The poor bastard that shot this kid is probably dealing with some emotional shite and will most likely have to deal with some beurocratic if not legal shite. Yet most of those who claim to support the police would like for the police to do more of this kind of thing. It is pure fricking insanity

the kid pointed a gun at police then it was a good shoot. Ll

Blind belief in thinking the police did everything right is insane.

I’m sorry but police don’t get this much credit from me. Did the police identify themselves loudly enough for someone to hear? They haven’t before. The kid could have thought it was people trying to break in and he was trying to defense himself.

I can’t pass judgement on either side until video is out

Here is another pretty good reason why these types of raids are a bad fricking idea.

Please tell us how the police should conduct the investigation in lieu of this method. Start at the point when you receive the neighbor complaints accompanied by video evidence. Where do you go from there?

Arresting him away from the house, doesn't stop others from being in the house. And the same thing could still happen.

But if you do it during the day, there is less chance of accidents happening.

It will be sealed after the grand jury, regardless. No one will know unless this goes to a trial, which I very much doubt it gets there

Yeah, I'm unsure of how Alabama law goes with that.

Here, under Kentucky statutes, officer body cam footage in an officer-involved incident is subject to Kentucky Open Records Act laws. LMPD now has a further policy that all body cam records in an officer-involved shooting has to be released within 10 business days (but there's active discussion that it violates our open records laws that says it should be released within 5 days).

Either way, I'm a firm believer that these videos should be subject to open records laws.

So again, if the cops are not aware of this being a fact they are beyond stupid. Knowing that it is a fact maybe quit doing shite that keeps on resulting in shite that gives the people bent on hating cops more reason to hate cops, especially when the return is marginal at best. It is idiocy and anyone who supports the police should expect them to do a better job.

Its honestly the worst part. No kid deserves to die for any reason. Even if this kid was a drug dealer, it doesn't make it okay. I don't blame the officer at all, I do however blame the system and everyone who thinks its okay that kids die because they were breaking the law.

Or you know, the solution may just be (and try to stay with me here while I walk you through this complicated topic), not doing no knock raids for miniscule amounts of weed, or even better just legalizing it.

Legitimate surveillance of the property to indicate what is being dealed out and who is/isn't at the property?

Is a narcotics sting not a possibility versus a raid? Surely Mobile has a healthy narcotics department. If the guy is just dealing weed, a risk assessment should at least be done of whether a raid like this is of more harm than good.

Is that really too much to ask?

Apparently there is a chance of it happening at 3am as well because they killed a kid who they did not have a warrant for and the guy they were looking for wasn't even there...

Busting down a door and yelling “police” doesn’t mean the person you’re raiding believes you.

So it's the cops fault if the thug inside didn't believe them? Why not just let a couple of cops get shite first. Amirite?

The only time shite like this makes sense is when you’re raiding actual bad guys who are going to shoot you whether you say police or not.

Which is exactly what happened. The "bad guy" had a weapon and pointed it at the cops. Would you and the others shitting on the cops be happier if the kid got off a couple of shots and killed a cop or two before facing return fire?

Wait. Wait you would wouldn't you? I just love all you badass internet thugs.

Just a thought, wouldn't there have to have been a court order before the raid. You gangstas out there do understand a court order don't you?
