I've refused to do so and employers have backed down or modified it before, not all will obviously. If it's a fuxk ton maybe you should pay an employment lawyer for a few hours of his time to consult and not ask this website

A Non-Disclosure Agreement modified? bullshite.

It's a pretty simple concept. You aren't free to discuss what they share with you about the company. It's not freaking rocket science.

Yeah. People are confusing a NDA with a non-compete.

OP is signing a NDA so that when he's on the company tour or interview and they show him or share with him proprietary information he doesn't run back to his current employer or a competitior and share that info.
