How much money you make is not so much about the value of your job as the value of your skills. The world would be a hell of a lot worse off without garbage men than NFL football players, but any normal person can be a garbage man while only a small fraction of a percent have what it takes to play in the NFL.

This is false. Lots of obese, sickly, weak people in the world that couldn’t put in an 8 hour day of labor outside. Most normal people over the age of 40 I’d say.
But I know why people are paid what they are paid and benefit from it.

Nearly anyone could be a garbage man if you gave them enough money to motivate them. The average person with kids and a mortgage would be a hell of a garbage man for $1,000,000 a year. But they couldn’t be an NFL QB or walk right in and perform successful brain surgery no matter how much you paid them.
It’s not a difficult thing to understand.
