Well if they don't introduce themselves then you'll have a problem. They only bark at horses if they aren't familiar with it. Give em a couple days together and they'll be best buds. Just don't force them too; that's when accidents happen. Pretty sure that's what he was referring to.

Sometimes. We used to have a horse that would go after dogs.
Most of ours are good now. As long as the dogs don't mess with them they don't try to kill them

Just depends on the two different animals. I wouldnt bring a smaller dog around horses bc they get spooked easily and can accidentally step on lap dogs.
My gf's horse loves my dog and we can walk them side by side no problem
