The St Charles riverfront is what a space like the Mississippi riverfront should look like in ST Louis.
Exactly.
It really kind of frustrated me when they were talking about a soccer stadium that so many were adamant that it be on the Mississippi downtown. I kept thinking...screw downtown St. Louis. It's beyond help. Build it in the Earth City area and let's use that to jump start the re-defining process. Next in line would be the Blues. Their arena is in major need of updating. Not sure if that measure passed authorizing $$$ for the updates, but if not I say screw the updates. Let's build them a new arena in the Earth City area too, right on the river and do it right.

I just don't understand people...When you live the life, sooner or later you are going to get killed..by a cop or a thug.

Now a protestor that claims to be Mike Brown's cousin on his "daddy side" and when asked if he lived in Ferguson, he said "yeah I stay der"

MLS wanted stadium downtown.
Should of put Baseball stadium, NHL arena, and MLS in the old Chrysler lots. A shite load of highway additions would of had to be done, and possibly light rail from jeffco to southco to fenton/fenon to westco to st chuck.
But that would of been perfect if the highway system was fixed.
Earth City can barely handle the business traffic, w/ the normal rush hour.

The St Louis metro is a great place to live and raise a family. I choose to come back home when I got out of the ARMY and don't regret it at all.
There is a broad brush that is used to paint the entire area and that's just not an honest representation of St Louis
Loved growing up in West County. Great place to be a kid. Schools were wonderful, lots to do for a kid, safe, etc.

How big are those lots? I only ever saw the factory from the road, but every time I hear this I wonder how they could fit all of that there

Oh laddy dah, look at all of the West County peeps. Let me guess, you went to parkway or lafayette.

I hear ya but you can expand the Page extension. You have 70. 40 is nearby. Turn the Expressway/141 into a full fledged highway like 170 but one that makes sense.

2 large factories(mini van and truck plant), and a parking lot, where vehicles were parked after being built that was 2 times bigger than both plants.
problem was, flooding in that back area, especially near soccer park.

141 express way is a god send.
a trip from earth city to chesterfield was 70 to 270, to 40. 45 minutes or more.
Now, it's 20ish

Has there been much of a police presence? I haven't seen it if so.

Seems like they are roaming free in the CWE. If they start rioting in the CWE, it's going to be a disaster.

Walking up to the police line now.
ETA - Nope. Cops just funneling them where they want them.

cops won't put up with it, they would end it quickly.

Parkway is a District. Yes, I attended schools in the District.
Lafayette is a school. Namely, a high school. Given your inability to differentiate between a school and a school district, I'm guessing you grew up in South County and went to Bayless.
Ehhhhhhh that was dickish. My apologies in advance.
