Its a video from head trauma surgeon
If you dont want to watch video, basically they've stopped the internal bleeding, his vital signs are now stable and condition improving generally speaking.

"Earlier today, [Scalise] underwent a second surgery related to his internal injuries and a broken bone in his leg. He remains in critical condition, but has improved in the last 24 hours. The Congressman will require additional operations, and will be in the hospital for some time. At the request of the family, we will continue to provide periodic updates," the statement said

Thank you!
I missed the first part before questions. Anything else we missed that you can tell us?

Cliff notes I took away were basically he's had a couple surgeries to stop bleeding, repair bones in hip and repair broken leg bone. Vitals originally were all over the place but are under control and stable. They said the words "he's improved over the last 36 hours" which is obviously very encouraging. Usually they dont like to comment good or bad...
ps - also he was conscious when paramedics first arrived on scene but went into shock and was unconscious by the time he got to the ER.

Thanks. He was obviously in very bad shape upon arrival. I think I heard the doc say that they are keeping him sedated, though maybe he said to some degree rather than fully. He indicated he is aware of the people with him. That was good news also. He's far from out of the woods, but things are certainly looking up and if they continue to improve, it sounds like his chances of an excellent recovery are very good.

That's better news. Hopefully he continues to improve over the coming weeks and months.

"The round fragmented and did substantial damage to bones, internal organs, and blood vessels. I understand he was awake on scene, but by the time he was transported by helicopter to the MedStar Trauma Center he was in shock," he said.
Sava said Scalise has been sedated, but doctors have been able to reduce sedation to allow Scalise to communicate with his family. Scalise is expected to fully recover and be able to walk, Sava said."
