Port Allen Traffic Ticket Question and hope for an Answer

Recieved two fines
Both say fine amount $155.50.
Ticket says pay online at PACCTRAFFIC.com to avoid going to court
Online says each fine is $40 per, but $155.50 total with court costs.
What do I pay? $40 or $155.50. Do I pay court costs even if I'm not going to court?

You're out $155 regardless unless you can get the ticket(s) fixed. Doubt you're gonna beat PACC. They live for traffic fines.

"Court costs" are handling fees, etc.

the marshalls arent that greedy, pretty sure its just 155.50 total. i would call to check, theyre pretty friendly when youre tryng to give them money.

Sorry about my poor math skills. My point is PACC is offering you the option of paying without having to go to court. You aren't gonna beat the fines, but you can pay now or you can go to court waste a bunch of time and pay later. Whichever you prefer.

That is the kimd of chicken shite stuff that would cause me, a taxpaying, law abiding citizen, to rise up and wreck some shite for vengeance. I'm surprised more impulsive folks have not already acted.

This is Louisiana...
...never, never pay a traffic fine. Hire an inexpensive lawyer and have it pleaded down to some crap like a seatbelt. All they want is the money anyway, and you keep a clean record for insurance purposes.

Whatever you do, quadruple check with the court to make sure the online payment went through.
They use a 3rd party system that sucks. I 'paid' a ticket 6 times total and they(the court) still never got the payment. I finally had to do it on the phone and have the company confirm with the court while I was on the phone. What's even shittier is that since I paid 6 different times online without the court getting it, I lost the processing fee each time, which was around $12. So on top of the $200 ticket, I had $84 in service charges.
Eta: only reason I initially knew the ticket didn't go through was that my license was suspended. Oh and that was another hundred something dollars to reinstate that, along with missing a day of work. Yay!

I just love the port Allen marshals. Go to court or pay the fine. You just lost $155 big ones bro!

Were you crossing the double white lines on the intracoastal to cut in line at the bridge?
