Popeyes founder Al Copeland had gold-plated tastes. So it seems fitting that Popeyes is offering wings battered in edible 24k gold at participating locations on Thursday only (Oct. 4) to celebrate the opening of its 3,000th restaurant.
In New Orleans, you can find the 24k Champagne Wings at 621 Canal St., a Popeyes spokesman said.
