That's cause if you want to shop you go to the souks instead of the mall. Use to get custom jewelry for the wife for dirt cheap and amazing quality.

Yeah, went to the gold souk and the wife was getting mad at me because I was being a dick . However, she loves the necklace I got her.

The only thing I bought in the mall was a sweater from La Martina because there isn't one in the US. All the other stores are in NYC so there was really no point in us buying anything.

can only drink in the hotel restaurants. I recommend stocking up at the duty free in the airport.

Totally untrue. Plenty of nightclubs to drink in.

There is no history in Dubai. U.A>E. is only about 40 years old. They bring in some serious concert talent and in Abu Dhabi they have a Ferrari Amusement Park. Golf is expensive.
Do not take a fishing trip. Iranians have a tendency to board fishing boats.

Historically speaking, you cant do better than Jordan, although with the problems in Syria you may want to avoid it all together. Petra, Gerash and the Baptism location are all in Jordan.

Greece would be great historically as well.
Someone mentioned Crete. Its Florida times ten for Europe. Highly suggest if you are single or are going with friends. Make sure its the right time of year though.

I stayed at the Raffles 2 years ago. The "working girls" are every where too.

And very easy to "arrange".....not that I know.

I just looked on expedia.

Houston to Dubai to Instanbul to Houston on Turkish Airlines at $1015 roundtrip.

shockingly cheaper than I expected.

WTF

I dropped 1100 for Hawaii to St. Louis to Florida to Hawaii and it's cheaper to go to the middle east.
