I wasn't blaming all those things. Just pointing out how absurd the argument was that pills (also an inanimate object) are to blame for all this.

You do realize that the graph trends up beyond 2013, right? I can tell you for sure that the line is going to trend up to 17 in 2018.

In the 4 years after that graph ends, deaths per year:

16, 19, 9, 9

That seems really smart of your dad

So his dad had a temper problem and rather than just explain why he should and shouldn't act a certain way, he uses aggression and anger to parent him?

Can anyone else see why this is a problem? You want to lower violence in children by teaching them that lashing out with aggression when angry, is an acceptable behavior?
That is a learned behavior, it breeds the acceptance of violent behavior through generations...

Hey fruitcake. Get over yourself and your hurt feelings.

By the way, you need to learn the proper use of the word literally. Learn its definition.

Your dad sucks then. If you had a legitimate issue and he beat your arse for it instead of trying to understand it, he's trashy as frick. I'm not saying throw pills at it, but jeez.

I did not have a legitimate issue. I was just a little shite. Much like many of the kids that get falsely diagnosed with ADHD.

Huh? Kids don't want to be doctors or lawyers, etc anymore?

Absolutely not. Why would they? They can be youtube famous like Logan Paul, bro.
Or they can just dye their hair purple and say "gucci gang" a bunch and be super cool brah

If you grew up watching BMW, you grew up in the same time that saw free internet porn become a thing as well as gore video websites.

This may be true but not nearly the amount of exposure that today's kids are exposed to. Today's music videos have more porn than the Skinemax we were watching back in the day.

Just because this is prevalent in the media doesn't mean it's prevalent in real life. You put too much faith in the media that people like you call fake news all the time.

It is absolutely prevalent in real life. Perhaps not in south Louisiana as much, but I've lived in various parts of the United States and it is absolutely the case. White kids in New England basically worship black people unlike anything i've ever seen. I'm talking haircuts, shoes, clothes, etc... They are ashamed of being white because they get a daily dose of how lame and uncool white people are.

This is what's wrong with the world today. People actually think like this.

Im not sure what you are saying with all of that. I'm just trying to say, let's use the term for the type of rifle about which we all are speaking. Just for ease of the discussion.

And yes, all firearms are high powered, but do you honestly think being shot from 50 ft with a .32 cal pistol is the same as with a 5.56 rifle?

Fibromyalgia is a made up disease now???

Fibromyalgia
A disease developed by doctors as a diagnosis for Hypochondriacs. They often prescribe Lyrica - which is actually a placebo.

If you believe you suffer from this disease, look in your medicine cabinet. If you have anything other than Asprin you may want to consult your doctor.

"I hurt everywhere and I'm really sad for no reason. My fibromyalgia must be acting up."

So the "trend line" is not a straight line steadily going down. It's basically up one year, down the next, up the next year, so on and so forth.

You picked a bad piece to rest your laurels on with that particular argument.

That's on the parents. Lazy fricks who think being a hyper boy is ADHD doesn't mean kids with legit issues are on medicine for no reason.

So you didn't want to be an actor or rock star as a kid? It's the same damn thing. You grow up and realize you need a real career.

Yeah, music videos were real tame in the 90s

I live in a super liberal city and don't really see this. Wearing a certain style doesn't mean you're ashamed of being white.

Seems like you're trying to fit your own narrative with some absurd stretches here.

I don't think you understand what a "trend line" is. It's not a year to year measurement dummy.

trend line is a straight line imposed on a graph with lines that graph up and down

The last 10 years have been much lower than any other 10 year span on there. The 90s and early 2000s were worse.

How? It's lower the last 10 years. The original point was its getting worse with more realistic violent games, but that's not true based on the number of deaths per year. Almost every year in the 90s had over 25. Only 2 years in the last 18 are over 25.

In the case of that graph,
it's a line placed over a graph that has absolutely zero to do with what the real trend of the graph is doing. It's just there to reinforce what the narrator wants the graph to say.

In his case, the graph was inconclusive as there was no real "trend" to it. If anything, it would be a straight line.
