Places to play with puppies in BR

There used to be a small pet store on Seigen that had puppies you could play with I think it closes down.
Found out I have to move to Oklahoma and I'm pretty bummed need a puppy to cheer me up

The animal shelter in Baton Rouge...They always need volunteers to walk dogs and play with them and get them social for adoption

Do research first, figure out what breed you like. Find a couple of breeders, go visit them and interact with their pups. Put a deposit down well in advance to ensure you have an early pick so you get the one you want.
If you're able to, get 2 pups (maybe work out a deal with breeder) especially if you are a busy person. When I went to go pick up my pup from the breeder, I ended up coming home with 2 pups, and it was half the puppy problems because they took their energy out on each other.
