Well, we should make shooting people illegal.

works in Chicago... oh wait...
Obama says all those guns in Chicago are from Indiana. People who shoot people in Chicago probably don't know it's against the law there. They just moseyed on over from Indiana where that must be legal. It's basically a speed trap for gun crimes.

Considering that some of the residents have never experienced violence like this on their street, maybe it could be random.

I like how this is being framed as a "mass shooting" like it was some random event that happened with a disgruntled employee or bullied student.
The reality is, this is just a part of that great diverse culture we've been promoting as a society for years. A couple of gangbangers roll up on a rival's wednesday night bbq and light it up.
100% someone(s) at the party knows exactly who did this but aren't coming forward because they'll be incriminated with the quickness also.
I was going to say "who has bbq/cookouts on a Wednesday?" but I already know the answer to that- people who don't have jobs and have too much time to be up to no good.
It's sad that almost all the victims were women, but when you sleep with dogs you get bit and when you go to a hood soldier's bbq you get shot.
Agreed.
Libtards like OP will blame the guns and push tougher gun control laws. Even though criminals won't obey the laws.

The 42-year-old woman who lives a few doors away from the scene on Franklin Avenue said she couldn't believe the number of gunshots she heard.

"A lot," she said. "Enough to wake me and my whole family up."
I guess if its just a couple gunshots she usually just sleeps through the noise.

Who's to blame for this one?
The entire community and culture. You have a culture that promotes ignorance and wants you to believe that lack of education is a cool thing. You have the demeaning of women, disrespect for your fellow man, and the extreme lack of pride in oneself. There is no such thing as entrepreneurship, ambition and a will to seek prosperity and a better life. This is all they have and they are foolishly taught to embrace it. These people are then incentivized by our government to continue to live this lifestyle and to actually have more bastard children that then grow on to repeat the cycle. There is an overwhelming majority of people living in these parts of town that are unintelligent that are then influenced by people of power in their area - gangsters. Gangsters are portrayed as heroes by people like this. Not only are these people not martyred, they are actually celebrated so heavily that they become celebrities. Then, in 2015 they make a movie about them and here we are. An overabundance of ignorant liberals voting for government "liberals" because they further the status quo, only they are too stupid to realize that every liberal vote they cast further puts them down an irrecoverable path because the governments wants the votes to keep themselves empowered, which in turn makes it more difficult for these ignorant people to break the cycle because it's just too easy to take a handout.

When we get serious about gun control.
Lets get serious about car control as well. Irresponsible people behind the wheel, talking just drunk drivers, kill as many people as guns do in homicides. Now I understand we regulate the heck out of motor vehicles, but the conversation often devolves into categorical bans on certain types of guns. Lets ban really fast cars. Also, cars aren't enumerated as a right by the constitution.
Someone has mentioned, we need to get serious about mental health as well as address inherent cultural problems in this country moreso than anything else.

Don't bring honest facts to this conversation.

This is the 3rd shooting on the street in less than a year. Wow, what a coincidence!

Nothing to do with culture, everything to do with guns

This year more people have died from knife attacks in New York City alone than in mass shootings across the entire country. LINK if interested
Should we start registering sharp objects, maybe hold steak houses responsible if a crime is committed with a knife from their restaurant, or is the actual issue the people wielding sharp objects and deciding to cut people with them?
