I personally strongly dislike all terriers.

Pits included, but not because I think they are worse than any other terrier.

Current gf has a half pit half chocolate lab. The mom was a multiple thousand dollar show dog pit. The dad was a mutt of a chocolate lab with an 8ft vertical.

The pup is a year old and about the cutest goofball known to man.

Prey drive is there, he chases chickens... But he has no idea what to do when he catches them. Gets scared and runs away.

Doesn't understand that all dogs aren't friendly, my Kangal (Who is extremely territorial with 4 legged animals) doesn't know what to make of him.

Poor little guy runs up butt down and sideways, submissive as hell, and the kangal wants to drag him through the fence and kill him... But he's so cute he just jumps around the fence playing with him

So I'd like to say, I hate all terrierss except this little guy

Nope. That jump up into the air from a run, in shifting sand was pretty darned impressive, also scarey. Just cause you are several feet above a dog is no guarantee of safety. The dog didn't go for an ankle, it went for and got a forearm. Impressive and scarey.

Not all pits are killers

Not all killers are pits

But when pits decide to attack (and they do, at a somewhat high rate)

They kill better than any other breed

Is this a good way to sum things up? Am I off base?

Another thing that makes pit attacks so noteworthy is the damage they are easily capable of inflicting. A border collie cannot damage someone as much as pit bull can. That’s a real issue here

Speaking of dog attacks....
a 4 year old had his hand bitten off and eaten in Utah Sunday by a Husky ... well they assume it was eaten since they couldn’t find it. Boy is in the hospital.

News story here

It’s time for global extermination of pit bulls.

It’s time.

You don't even need to exterminate them. Just outlaw breeding them, enforce mandatory spay/neuter for those currently alive (if you don't have it done you get fined or the dog gets put down), allow municipalities to outlaw ownership, and you could remove the problem within 7-10 years...with it getting to be less of a problem every year between now and then.

Sounds just like my American Pit Bull Terrier. She wants to play with every animal and person she can find, and they have no clue what to think about her. Her best friend is a damn 10lb cat haha. Chases squirrels every chance she gets, but if she catches up to one, she stops and lays on the ground, like what do I do now... She's terrified of the smaller cat we have and won't go near it
I mean... She's obviously a child eating death machine

My kangal laughs at this.

I've watched him play catch with a 40lb male coyote until he got tired of tossing the poor thing in the air.

Ted Bundy didn't kill every person he came into contact with and he could come across as sweet and nice, but he was more likely to decide he wanted to do harm and when he did he was pretty successful.

Yeah, that's a #TOPICALMETAPHORBOMB

I hate that argument, it's as if no trashy, shitty owners own any other type of breed. It's an absolute fact that pit bulls are more prone to attack. There are shitty owners who own all sorts of breeds, yet pit bulls are still leading in deadly attack statistics, by a large margin. Here's a LINK before anyone asks me for one. I'm also not aware of any traits of this dog, that are not possessed by at least one other breed who is not known for killing babies. Why risk it? Because trashy people want to look cool with their ugly arse looking dogs to match their affliction personas. There is not 1 legitimate reason to keep this breed around. Period.
