"Then and Now" photograph.

The top photo features U.S. soldiers advancing through the town of Sperlingsburg, Germany on April 4, 1945. The bottom photograph is what that same part of town looks like in the present.

The dead soldier in the top photograph is believed to be Private First Class Robert Wynne, who had been felled by a sniper just minutes before this photo was taken.
