Here’s a ‘63 iteration:







The Mark II model ran from 1960-1967, a 3.8l V-8 engine that would push that heavy slab 0-60 mph in 8.5 seconds.

They built about 90,000 of them. There ain’t many survivors.

I’ve seen exactly one in the wild in the US, and it was in Carmel, CA.

I had no idea that Red Barn was a chain. There was one south of Shreveport on HWY 1

There's still one in Lawrenceville, GA. It's the only one I've ever seen.

Back when boys were boys and girls were girls, the girls would get on that thing and us boys would get it spinning as fast as we could jump on an hold on for dear life. Kindergarten was so much fun at recess.
