Good post on the CB radio.

My great aunt had one in her car about the time Smokey and the Bandit came out. She may have had a Midland, that plastic dial with the channel numbers looks familiar. I was probably around 10, my brother and I would spend hours in her car trying to be cool and talk with the truckers, we even made a sheet of trucker lingo. I-57 in Illinois was about two miles from our house so it was easy to pick up a lot of truckers talking.

I did a Google lens search and that same photo appears on the net from years ago, even before 2020. However, in those, there is no slight coloration and comic is spelled correctly on all the comics. The one I used has been touched up.

PS, I think I vaguely remember those glasses for comics. I definitely remember 3-D glasses for a few movies. The last as late as the 70s for Warhol's Frankenstein.
