Horrible. My hospital system now has 9 COVID only units. And the other regular units are getting pretty full as well of non COVID patients. And this is basically the same story at other hospitals in our area as well.
So I mean this as an honest question: How are they treating? Of course O2 .. but if they're not on the vent (which I understand some thinking has changed on their use), are they getting iv meds (remdesivir) but what else? Is average hospital stay time going down for patients?

Yeah, we're all gonna die if we don't shut everything down.
You're an idiot.

Please tell me where I said everything needs to be shut down? And that everyone is gonna die. I’m just saying the healthcare system is starting to get strained where I live.
I don’t want things to shut down. I only wanted people to stop acting like this virus magically went away and use caution where needed. Social distance, wear a mask, just simple basic stuff so things could stay open. But sadly this has become political.
Quit looking at medical people as the enemy in this. We aren’t happy either about the fricking virus. We hate it as well. I don’t enjoy wearing a mask everywhere. I don’t enjoy not being able to hang out with my friends like I did before this.
91....I’m not an ICU doc so I can’t give specifics on treatments. I do know we use remdesivir on certain patients. But some don’t qualify for it for various reasons (you can’t just give it to everyone...some may have other health issues that are contraindicated for use of the drug). And we don’t just instantly stick every COVID patient on a vent...but when they deteriorate to a certain point you have no other choice.

Hail, while you're right, I will defend her -- I haven't seen her complain and honestly, and in her response that you replied to, she was answering my question about how things are at her hospital.
That said, I really don't trust by any means all that we've been told. And I very much dislike the mask policy our governor just put in place. Many including nurse will disapprove that I don't like it but we can all agree to disagree.

We know. You’ve been claiming that for multiple weeks.
