It's my understanding City Hall has shut down any media helicopters over the city so that they can't follow the trucks carrying the statues.

I'm telling y'all. I know what In talking about here. They don't have the proper rigging and communications to do that lift. If a lift of that weight without a lift plan it is in clear and blatant violation.
If they don't have proper flaggers signaling the lift and alarms when the lift is being made its a violation.

They should have all proper permits for hot work when cutting, welding or arc gouging as well.

At this point I hope they frick something up and someone gets hurt. Then when that guy sues the city all of the dirt will come to light:
-using public funds for this after the courts said not to and after Mitch said they wouldn't,
-using unqualified firemen after the courts said they had to use a company experienced with such,
-all the high amount of police hours and dollars spent on this while the city becomes the murder capital of the country,
-the fact that the city doesn't own these statues nor the land they sit on,
-the fact the Mitch and a handful of insiders strongarmed this through the council,
-the multiple OSHA infractions...
The list goes on, and it all adds up to someone being politically ruined.

They are arc gouging the statue from its base. It's like a welding rod that cuts. This is fricking insanity.

i was watching the live feed ,and wow did that crew look incompetant as can be.
then they showed the protesters seperated by the barriers and of course the only ones running their mouths and acting like idiots were inner city dwellers.
