Maybe they'll bring back Applebee's.

I really enjoyed Lava Cantina. Too bad.

One in The Colony is going strong even with absent online sets. Why is Texas so much cooler than LA?

Worked with one of the original owners of Lava Cantina here at a chemical plant until he retired. Their price point was way to high for Mexican food.

Both sucked pretty bad. That was the best Applebees ever though.
I just want Coyote Blues back

Gravy closes his "office" over there and all the restaurants close soon after. Coincidence?

Because all of the cool people chill out in the left lane on the interstate.

Lava had a good atmosphere with some descent bands but I always thought the food wasn’t that good.
Kona had a great happy hour special but their regular prices were really high for what it was. I’m sure the rent for both those places was really high.

Gonna be hard to replace.
Both are massive spaces with huge rent.

I wonder how these fat rents are going to be when the fallout from Corona finalizes. If hundreds of places close, there will be some for rent cheap. The people asking high dollar will take a hit.

Maybe they’d still be open if they had some ascent bands

Kona always had a good happy hour for a few pre-movie drinks.
There was also a BBQ spot just to the right of the theater that didn't last long.

Voodoo BBQ and the original place was called Fish City Grill when Perkins Rowe first opened
Posted on 6/19/20 at 6:44 am to Paul Allen
Wasn’t it also called The Grill Room? Or was that somewhere else?
Posted on 6/19/20 at 6:46 am to LouisianaLady
The Grill Room was where Lava Cantina was
The Grape was the place before Bin 77/Wine Loft

Surprised any of them without a huge takeout business survived the draconian shutdown restrictions.

Jinya is the best restaurant to grace Perkins Rowe to date.
