That's why I don't fly Southwest. Not only do you have to get there at stupid o'clock before the flight to snag a decent seat, there is no guarantee there will be a decent seat because a SW flight may make several stops (like a train) and the passengers who are just passing through will nab the good seats left by those who are getting off.
Oh, and I'm a big fat guy, so there's that too.

I have never understood why the rear of the plan isn’t loaded first.

Because in the event of a person who "really" is disabled you would like to have the room to put the person in the first or second row.... plus you don't want to embarrass the customer if they need a team lift.
