funny how you "pot is not bad for you" morons

Because of one statement with evidence that backs it up, I disagree with the notion that it does the things you list? You left of chronic lung disease, especially emphysema as well as cannabinoid hyperemesis, which I've seen lead to esophageal tears. Try not to read too much into a single comment before making giant assumptions.

Alcohol is legal.
Weed isn't.

I don't care if weed is legalized or not, but as of now, it is illegal.

Why do pot legalizer look to alcohol to make a point?

Alcohol is a horrible drug that we have yet to realize how to control. Yet legalizers want to hold it as something pot should be.

I'm only referring to people who view pot as being much worse than alcohol. Obviously there's nothing wrong with people who don't smoke pot but drink alcohol.

I'd probably smoke a little here and there if it was legal.

It's funny how when you're not in that world you don't even know where to get it. but when you are it's basically a household item.

I don't think OP was inquiring about why people wouldn't do something illegal. That's self-evident.

But he's moreso asking about the type of people who look down on those who smoke weed or view it as some down, dirty and immoral act, while they themselves will drink their mind and body into oblivion without batting an eye.

of course, i don't expect potheads to do any actual reading or critical thinking because they'd rather rest on their headlines and assumptions

Isn't the immorality tied to the illegality?
And he didn't insinuate abusing alcohol, only drinking it. Pretty huge difference.

Everything? I'm just about maxed on answering stupid questions for the day.

Oh so you look to the government when forming opinions.

The government schedules weed the same as heroin so you believe they're equally bad.

The government schedules meth as less serious than weed so you view meth as less bad.

You love your big daddy government.

Not really. That's an extremely simplistic and dangerous way of looking at morality IMHO.

Fair point. But I know numerous people that will get absolutely shite-canned drunk but look down their nose in disgust at anyone that would smoke weed. Not saying it's the norm or anything, but it's very prevalent, especially in the south.

I'll check those out later. There's a host of evidence for cannabinoid psychotic disorders in 1st degree relatives of schizophrenics. I've seen zero to date of a causal relationship between the two.

I don't think pot is bad.

Most of the weed smokers I've met cheat at golf, don't give to charity, and either eat their boogers or wipe them off on the underside of a table.

Define "enthusiastic". I smoke weed every day and many of my friends do, but don't flaunt it or act "enthused" about it and would say that I am a more than productive member of society.

I'd say you're looking at people that tie their weed use to their identity, and I agree that's pretty douchey. Just like the people that tie drinking to their identity.
