Moved a long time ago and have now settled down in a red town in a blue state. The cost of my home makes me vomit in mouth but the town is absolutely pristine. There is really no crime other than a few disadvantaged youths stealing a Land Rover from
Some moron who left his keys in the car overnight . I have no regrets about the move especially when I read about the rapid decline on Louisiana and New Orleans over the past few years.

Yes, the far left liberal aliens are helping destroy the city, along with the apathetic locals. Its inexcusable for there to be approx. 10% voter turnout.

Every other city has their share of hipsters too. That’s not what’s ruining New Orleans

Anyone peeped how Walton & Johnson talked about this story this morning? I knew producer Kenny read TD, but now I'm convinced that Johnson reads it as well. Several of the things Mr. O said were lifted straight within this 7-page thread.

I missed it. Do you recall any of the content that they used?

Who are the people buying the homes of those who are leaving?

Not sure who the buyers are but one of the positives for the market is that the prices aren’t deteriorating badly and another positive is that people aren’t moving out without selling what they have ie, Turning then into rentals. That would be a really bad sign. That hasn’t happened on a large scale.

That said, there has been some price erosion but it could be in part due to the interest rate increases.
