Everybody's scared of something and somebody is trying to use it to manipulate you. Covid might not be the issue that triggers you, but there is one and somebody out there is doing their best to figure it out and use it to move you in their direction. There's a reason all these "grassroots" protesters use the same language and same arguments. They get it from the same sources. They believe they're independent thinkers but they're being used just as much as the people on the other side they call sheep

You and all the other people complaining about how they’re trying to scare us into doing something, are doing the same exact thing. You’re using fear porn to drive people away from the vaccine.
Now, not a single person has been able to answer this question, but what rights are being infringed upon right now, and what kind of control are we going to see from all this “government control”? Our rights are way more infringed upon during a hurricane than during this pandemic, yet none of you ever bitch then.

I've never told anyone that if you're referring to me. I will laugh at you when you get shut out of things though because you exercised your autonomy over your body. Not you specifically, because I don't know your vaccination status, nor really care to know. I think the "personal freedom" argument is pathetically weak and stupid. We live in a modern society and with that there are some sacrifices you sometime have to make for the betterment of your community. Thank god people generations before me got their polio and smallpox vaccines - two diseases eradicated through immunizations.
But wave your personal freedom flag while we roll down the hill towards being a third world country riddled with a disease that could be minimized with better immunization rates.

I listened to Bill Burr last night. He was talking conspiracy theories. He said he loves them but the covid/vaccine* conspiracies didn't make sense to him. If you believe it's about reducing population, why would the government push the vaccines* so hard? Why would they use a vaccine* to get rid of people? The people who believe in covid and the vaccine* are the followers. It's the other 40% that they wouldn't want to keep around. The people who won't listen, won't follow mandates and won't get the vaccine*.
So the new conspiracy that line of thinking presents is that the government is protecting the obedient herd and will, at a later date, introduce another virus that the vaccine* truly protects you from and the doubters, refusers, disbelievers will have no protection from it.
I'm not much into conspiracies, but I had a little buzz and enjoyed his commentary.
