I can physically remove myself from the cell phone if needed... I can not do that with the chip. I understand what you mean, though. The cell phone is by everyone's side virtually 24/7. I get that. I'm saying, if SHTF, I could ditch the cell phone.

But you could leave it behind if you had good reason to. Thats clearly a fundamental distinction that makes it a bad comparison.
How would you feel if it was the law that you had to carry your GPS-enabled smartphone with you at all times? Would you be telling us all to relax?

You're talking about a chip that will somehow still have comm capabilities when cell phones don't. You may not have a full blown tin foil hat on right now, but you definitely have the Reynold's Wrap open on your counter.
