Need to get 50 people to a camp. We have a charter bus option , but, others want to use 12 person passenger vans and drive ourselves. Finding 4 has been a chore. Found some on Turo, but looking for one source of rental. Group is based in Metairie, LA. So I guess any options from Baton Rouge to Biloxi. Thanks in advance for the help.

If you find and rent those 12 passenger vans and find amateurs* to drive them, you can end up regretting that decision forever.

Rent the single bus with experienced driver.

*the last time they drove a vehicle that size full of people was never

The risk/reward of the van option ain't there.

Man, we have done both options where I work and now we just do charter busses. It is just so much easier and more comfortable for the guests.

If y’all want to drive yourselves, I believe each driver would need a Class D (chauffeur’s license) for that. I obtained my Class D driver’s license specifically for this reason.

If you are still intending to do it, I have in the past rented 15 passenger Fords through Enterprise in Kenner, though some years ago. Easy for an experienced driver to handle.

Tip: For your group you would need 4 vans, and Enterprise may have to requisition them from around the city. There is a risk that someone may not return one on time. They once tried to substitute two SUVs, but I couldn't drive them both at the same time, duh. Don't recall them having passenger seat belts either.
