London is my favorite city in the world.

I went to Paris with a Russian girl that I met in london...still didn't like it.

Our flight arrives in Brussels and leaves from Brussels

Brussels is an absolute nightmare to drive in. FYI,

Never been to Paris-my friend was there last month and loved it though.

My son and I will in London for a few days in July after The Open. I've been there 3 times and loved it. Never tried to drive a car there though-you know opposite lanes and such. Enjoy,

Not a great time to be visiting Paris. Especially as an American.

You have been warned.

I've been to both on multiple occasions. I personally enjoyed Paris more.

I have never been to Europe but I am planning a trip to Scotland for summer 2016. My surname GF arrived in Mass. aboard The Unity in 1650 as an indentured servant. He fought on the side of Charles I and was taken prisoner by Cromwells forces at the Battle of Dunbar. A huge percentage of my ancestry is Scottish. GF surnames include MacDonald, MacCleod, Campbell, Buchanan, McCracken, MacIntyre, etc. Many others came from the border lands around Northumbria. I own 10 kilts from different clans I trace ancestry to and enjoy wearing different tartans to the multiple Highland games I attend each year.

Currently reading The History of Scotland by Magnus Magnusson and really want to go to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth, Orkney and the western isles to see these places I have a relation to. Can't wait to see Dunbar just to see where my GF was taken prisioner.

I would love to visit all European countries and while I assume Scotland is not the people's choice.....it holds a special meaning to me. Very excited.

Is that shite really all around Paris right now or is this select photos at select times? Very depressing to see if all over.

OP, I personally loved Paris when I went and have been wanting to go back for years. I hit up London for a day on my way to Ibiza a few years ago. I liked it as well and need to go back for more exploration. You can't go wrong, but since you're going with your lady I'd say the romance of Paris is the way to go.

If asking for outside of Paris or London, I'd tell you to go to Amsterdam or Prague as 3 days is great for those.
