This was one of mine, too. But it didn't take us too long to figure out.

Just talk to your pediatrician. Spit up is normal and if he doesn't seem bothered by it and is gaining weight then you shouldn't worry too much. Keep up the Zantac and ask pediatrician for formula samples that he thinks will help. Doubt he is allergic to milk as a few said. My son is, we did Nutramigen, with milk based formula he would break out with a rash, scream and vomit. It wasn't just a little spit up.

Have you tried putting oatmeal or rice cereal in the formula to thicken it?

This is an option as well if okay'd by the pediatrician. We did with our son to help with weight gain. We did a blender every evening of bottles for the next day, which also helped with the issue someone mentioned of shaking the bottles. And used the Dr. Browns bottles. They were a life saver.

We had similar problems - you'll never get it 100%. We changed bottles for our 1st one and it did wonders. We used Dr Brown bottles and after feedings we lay him elevated on a bed wedge pillow.

My 2nd kid we had to switch to the already mixed formula. Hope it gets better for you.

Yeah I don’t understand why someone would even suggest that. Goat’s milk can be very bad for a baby.

Seen it cause a horrific abdominal infection resulting in partial removal of intestines, a colostomy bag, and resulting kidney failure.

My son was born w esophageal atresia where he had no esophagus beyond a small pouch.

He is perfectly healthy now. Had corrected at one day old.

I only say that to say that some very skilled physicians recommended adding rice cereal to his breast milk to assist him.

We did and it helped. You may ask about it, You will probably get laughed at but it worked for us.

A couple of people have mentioned Dr. Brown's bottles. Some babies don't breath well through their nose while they feed. So as they suck, they gulp in little breaths of air through their mouth. Usually those babies are very aggressive feeders that sound like a little piglet feeding. As a result, they end up with a lot of air in their stomach. So getting rid of that air will cause them to spit up a lot more than usual. Frequent burping helps but usually won't get it all. That's where the Dr. Brown's bottles that others have mentioned come in. They are designed to reduce the amount of air being taken in by the baby. If you're not using them, get some. They can make a huge difference.

No shite? Jesus. I know to only use it on recommendation from doctor, but damn.

ETA: wait. Do you mean straight goat's milk or do you mean goat's milk based formula?
