I mean there are many days where I’d very willingly go back to 1 lol.

Simple answer, never.

The things that you have to deal with just change as they grow. Wait until you have a teenager.

my 8 month old had all 4 teeth come in within a month or so of each other. Wasn't bad as long as he'd let us give him ibuprofen. He's now pretty defiant about not taking medicine at this point so not sure what we will do when the next round comes in. Now he's just hungry very often, waking up again at night needing full bottles etc.

Im having fun with it regardless. Its the older kid thats turned in to a complete attention whore that will be the end of me.

Beats the mess out of you if you try to rock him.

but the kid kind of sucks right now.

I think his dad sucks, actually. Sounds like he doesn't want to be around you. Be a better parent.

My son is a few months short of 3, every day with him has been a blessing. If you don't feel that way, change your approach or your outlook.

Just wait until they become teens. You will be praying for those days

I loved the infant stage, but I had an angel baby.

1-3 he was a complete a-hole, luckily he is cute. We dealt with it by documenting his crazy meltdowns. I have a whole FB album dedicated to them.

He's 4.5 now and the best. He's doing fun things like swim lessons and gymnastics. Will pick up tee-ball again in the spring. He can get his own snacks, is really independent but still loves to snuggle. I trust him to do things on his own and not be attached to my hip in public.

He does never stop talking. The kid loves the sound of his voice. But he is really smart, he likes to practice rhyming and can do simple multiplication even. I'm excited for him to start kindergarten, he is going to thrive, but lord help his teachers. He is going to be the class clown and is too smart for his own good sometimes.

3.5 was the turning point, not an OT tree-fifty joke, it really was 3.5

These are good things you should be happy about. Imagine if he needed constant attention, being held, being played with, on top of the other things?

If you shake them enough, the screaming will stop.

When they learn how to walk and talk. 18-36 months; they learn a lot in that time. By 4, they’re pretty self reliant. By 5, you’ll be wishing they weren’t so independent all the time.

This.

Ive got a 16 month old, a 27 month old, and a 7 year old.

The little ones are in that phase where they are learning something it seems every other day. By the time they are 4, they will be self-sufficient just like their big sister was.

It may suck at times right now, but hold onto it as long as you can. It goes by so fricking fast. Enjoy it.

Enjoy the ride. Of all the terrible advice I got from everyone, the fact that it flies by was the one good nugget.

Someone told me with young kids "the days go by agonizingly slow, the years fly by incredibly too fast"
