OP sounds like the main board though usually lights aren't affected by main board. THIS WOULD NOT BE THE INVERTER BOARD!! As if that board fails ONLY the compressor stops.
Are you 100% sure the plug is getting power?
Oulets (especially those fed by GFCIs can fail)
New fridges can be accidentally put on showroom mode and everything fails but generally the lights work. Which is similar to sabbath mode, where everything but the lights work.
