So I went to Hobby lobby on Saturday and picked up a second kit and a few other things to start building. We started yesterday AM. I learned 2 things. 1) painting is hard and I'm not very good at it (my bad eyes arent helping) and 2) I don't know how or what plastic but to clean up off the model. Spent about 1.5-2 hours and got part way thru step 2. 
I've got ALOT more respect for the builders on here than I did 24 hrs ago.

So I just ordered this book trying to find some info on my Father in Law's unit from WWII (VMF-211) and the occupation of China after the war. I'd like to give my Brother in Law this for Father's day. Struggling to find the right decals right now. I know it won't be 100% accurate, but trying to get as close as I can...
