Packing a lawn mower in a moving truck

Any tips for packing a lawn mower in a moving truck?
I know to drain the gas and oil, remove the blades, and clean it. Will that prevent my furniture from taking on gas fumes?

That's a tough one. I guess just run along side it and toss it in.

You could just drive it to your new location.

Riding or push? I packed my lawn equipment during my last move with no issues of things smelling. I sold riding mover to guy who bought house so that was not packed.

Why remove all that shite? How far of a move? Two trips brah. Easy fix.

Pack last next to door, cover it. Airs out some.

My push mower went right into the moving van and was rolled right off without issue.

Dumb question here...
What do you gain by removing the blade(s)?

the hutch will fall over and catch the pull cord and crank that sucker up and when he gets to his destination...nothing but kindling in the truck.

Removing the blades seems like overkill

I hope OP remembers to take the string out of the weed eater and air out of the blower.
