I wonder if it would be better to bend the knee and raise the leg higher?
Try to keep it straight. You are only in week 1. Your leg will get higher the more you workout and get more flexible.

Like the old Ab Ripper.... "I hate it, but I love it."
The Ab Ripper wasn't too bad. Tough, but do-able.
Pull ups? I was done by the 2nd set. I need to get a chair or something so I can do assisted pull ups. Otherwise I was just doing other should/back exercises during the pull up portion of it.
The push ups started killing me about 3/4 of the way through. Sore as hell, so I'm pretty excited about it.

About to start the challenge I a few minutes. For what I'm reading it sounds like the 30-15 upper body massacre from the 1on1 series. So I'm gonna go balls to the wall. 30-15 to start out. Let's see if I can do it.

CVX is no joke either! How many of you started with one weight and finished with another?
I started with 10. I dropped to 5 after like the 8 minute mark

great workout. I think my favorite from week 1 was The Warrior. I say that because I was DEAD with 5 minutes left. The others I plowed through but the last 5 minutes of the warrior was me half-assing.

Week 1 I did 25/9
Week 2 I did 30/10
Week 3 I did 32/11
it's definitely working. I'm finished rest/transition week tonight...then on to Block 2 on Sunday!

I have the warrior this evening. Is it more resistance or cardio?
Posted on 1/10/14 at 10:09 am to Ex-Popcorn
nice numbers!
I attempted 20/10 in Week 1
Pullups were too much for me but pushups were too little
This week I am setting my goal for 24/7

it's a combo of both. you'll do a lot of pushups, legs, and cardio.
the Supreme burpees is what put me off the edge. I knocked out 8 of those in a minute which is equivalent to 24 pushups plus the cardio involved and core work involved.

HOLE. E. shite.
Just finished the challenge. My arms are trembling right now and I can barely type.
I managed to do 30-15 all the way through, but by the last round I thought I was going to puke. It wasn't the reps that was the issue it was the pace. So fast!
Then just when I think I'm done that stinking burnout comes in. I took that really slow.
I'm not expecting to pick anything else up for the next few days. Time for a recovery drink.

Hey I've been doing this stuff for long time.
My personal best is 32 pull-ups.
I did 4 one handed pull-ups the other day.

I did 40/10, but I will come off the pull-up bar at 5 and jump back up for 5 more, so I am sort of cheating. Still... it's 10 pull-ups per exercise.
It was tough yesterday, but nothing like the first week.

Liked cvx. Didn't have any weights though. Still got my legs burning. Great overall workout.

Did the CVX today.
Putting my jacket on this morning was a 10 minute ordeal after "The Challenge". CVX is going to make it so much worse
