word to wise, don't go in the thread with the mom dismissed from gym and say that gym memberships are a waste of money...
I wouldn't call them a waste of money. My first real fitness gains were at the UREC at LSU.
If you know what you're doing you can get a real benefit from a gym.
But the reason I like P90X and other Beachbody programs so much is because they can be done in the convenience of your home, everything is laid out for you so there's no guess work, they're all proven to work, and there's a huge support network of coaches out there. I've never seen a gym that has all that.

As where mine in college.. The S&C coach put 25lbs of muscle on me my Freshman year... but It was a small group of us knocking workouts out rapidly
Plus I'm not in college anymore...

If you have a difference of opinion with some people they will feel personally attacked.
Just walk away before you get hit with a pitchfork.

On a P90x3 positive note... I'm down 10 pounds..

Swole problem: I now have trouble finding shirts that fit right because my chest is 12 inches bigger than my waist.
It's either too tight across the top or too wide at the bottom.

I met this chick yesterday at a networking lunch and she does custom fittings for clothes ... so if my chest to stomach ratio gets outta whack... I think i'm going to use her for dress shirts and blazers..

question on the P90X3 diet plan. How does this number system work? is that the number of serving of each catagory?
For example: A serving of egg whites is 5, so on Plan E I would eat 15 egg whites (if that was all i ate for protein)?

Doc
what's the easiest way to take the workouts on the road with you without bringing advd player with you. Amy way to get an online account to stream onto a phone or ipad? Video the workout while they play on your tv? Any suggestions?

Taking a laptop is out of the question?

Looking for the "easiest" way. Streaming to phone would be first choice....laptop is somewhat cumbersome traveling through airports/security.

If you have the DVD's you could always rip them to your computer and then copy the files over to your phone and play it that way, or at least you should be able to. I should probably test this before I go on vacation in 2 weeks. My copies are all .mp4 format on my computer currently and I stream them on my Roku in the room I use, so I can't see any reason copying the files to your phone wouldn't work.

This may have been discussed earlier, I can't recall.
DVD Ripper X, VidCoder, HandBrake or a similar program should allow you to rip the P90X DVDs for your personal use to your computer so you can convert the files into mp4s. From there, you should be able to transfer the mp4s to a more portable device, like your phone or tablet.\
Google: "How to rip dvds to mp4" and you should find a wealth of info.

With the original P90x DVDs, I managed to separate the audio and video, and transfer the audio to my iPod. If you don't need to see the video, this is another option.
