What base? The rest is easy to vet.

Has to be either Davis Monthan, Spangdhalem, Osan, or Moody unless it's AFRES or ANG

AC was probably a junior O-3 with an O-2 copilot. I'm guessing a long landing with a smooth touchdown around the 3 board.

One of them will make an IG post about getting back on the horse after you're knocked off at some point."My failures don't define me" type of thing. I'd bet my house they don't lose their wings.

Can't wait to read the Safety board findings.

Would they have, had they not been this sort of quota filling type, lost them over what happened?

I truly don't know, but thats just my guess because of the optics. I think they'll get the Naval version of a Q3(Air Force speak for a Checkride failure) and some re-qual training and be back on the line in a few months.

They do deserve their day in court so to speak. I've pigeon holed them to some extent based on the virtue signaling of the Dod. But they do deserve a fair shake.

My suspicion remains that they fricked it up. Kaneohe Bay has a 7700' runway which is adequate for a 737. Yeah the weather was shitty, but go arounds are free.

They were taking off from Hickam, not K Bay

They over ran the runway on landing. At MCAS Kaneohe Bay. Doesn't matter where they took off from.
