He got a C on his paper that outlined Fed-Ex's business plan.

That's a huge inheritance in 1971. He came from some money. Surprised he didn't have connections for $22,000.

Servicemaster has about $4B in annual sales last I checked.

A lot of the early FedEx employees are loaded today. Many massive houses were built in Memphis, Germantown, and Collierville on FedEx money.
