This Lydia/Jeanerette cell is HUGE. 52,000+ echo tops. These things don't sleep.

its a good indicator.. do you guys know how hail is formed? no? ok..

SO.. water droplets get lifted up into a thunderstorm, and they freeze due to the cold temperatures.. well.. if you have a strong/fast updraft, they get cycled through the thunderstorm multiple times, and as they meet other water droplets they get bigger til eventually they are too big and fall.. thats why the stronger the storm, the bigger the hail.
