Overly dependent women are like freakin' children - constantly begging for you to do shite for them. Get off your adult arse and do it for yourself! Give me a woman that can take care of herself anyday...

Your loss of space. In your house.

Ah gotcha. Yea, i guess there's technically a loss of space.

Humble brag: But I guess I have plenty of space in my house, as I don't feel cramped.

Domineering Type A types are pretty horrible, and that's a fact that has been neglected in this thread. I don't care about career ambitions on their part, that's my role. If you have the financial wherewithal, better to have them play a meaningful role in raising the kids than chasing some bullshite career that ultimately means a lot less in the grand scheme. Plus if they are domineering, they are insufferable by definition.

1,3,2 if everything goes OK
3,2,1 if everything goes to shite

So probably 3

Figuring BEST Case Scenarios* for each:
quote:

1. Independent, takes care of herself. Domineering
If she doesn't have any wander in her, you can probably work on fixing her urge to dominate.
The right one you can fix.
After thorough vetting to make reasonably sure I could fix her, this would be my first choice out of the three.

quote:

2. Just getting by, making ends meet. Overly dependent
Poors mentality.
That might haunt you forever and impede the couple's upper limit as to social status.
Also, you can't fix dependency in adults. Long-term trouble.
Least desirable to me of the three choices.

quote:

3. Poor/Borderline poor, but doesn't really ask for much
OK but if you are successful, the worm can turn and they an get stupid with (what is to them) a lot of money.
Also, still have the class differential compared to someone who has been around money (or at least in a comfortable fiscal situation).
Better than #2

Figuring WORST Case scenarios for each:
quote:

1. Independent, takes care of herself. Domineering
Publicly rapes you repeatedly in divorce court.

quote:

2. Just getting by, making ends meet. Overly dependent
fricks her divorce attorney and he does a half-arse job of representing her interests.
You come out of the divorce better than #1.

quote:

3. Poor/Borderline poor, but doesn't really ask for much
Might be the best in a break-up.
Mild character is a lifetime sentence.
You may actually end up being OK with her afterwards.

*Assume that you marry each and you are committed to making the marriage work.

Easily this one. Because you'll hear "I'm a strong, independent woman" ALL THE frickING TIME. And in case you forget that important fact, they'll remind you, and all of social media at least once a day.

We get it, you are strong & independent. Now, go be strong and independent the frick away from me.

Since when does independent/educated/successful = domineering? Many women can take care of themselves without having some overtly-aggressive attitude about it.

It doesn't necessarily, with anything, the more militant of these types will command the stereotype. My post was strictly about those domineering types. Holy shite, those types must want to make most women commit murder on behalf of the human race.

Definitely #2. They will spend all their paycheck on useless shite and expect you to pay their bills. A woman with no ambition and doesn't appreciate anything.

Women can be independent, take care of themselves and not be domineering. They'll only be that way when they're with a man who's a pussy.

This type of woman is best because she's not borderline worthless without you around. And she'll let you be independent - unless you're a pussy - then she'll make you her bitch. I don't want to have to treat my girl like a child though. Some guys do.
