LSU graduated over 4,400 this week, each with their own life story and accomplishment. Some from wealth and privelege, others who had to overcome incredible obstacles of poverty, life issues, illness or disability to achieve their degree. Of all of those graduates the Advocate chose to do a first page feature on a paroled convicted murderer who apparently turned his life around and earned his degree and has now graduated from LSU. No doubt the author " feels good" about her efforts. Shame on her and the Advocate editors for ignoring the over 4,400 other graduates to illuminate this one individual whom hey deemed mos tworthy of featureing. What a slap in the face to those who chose the right paths in life.
Yes, I know there is another thread on this but it morphed into the merits of the criminal aspects. This is only about the pervaive liberal bias that permeates the media and directs them to producethese types of reports, over and over and over.

It's definitely a more "unique" story than most. How many threads have there been on the other 4,399 grads?

Good thing I don’t pay for their site so I can’t be bothered by such things

It isn’t.

Nope. It was about the writer and teh Advocate editorial board. Mr. Hundley was processed by the judicial system, right or wrong and to his credit he appears to want to devote his life to better things. That is no more news worthy than the other graduates.

You sure seem to be invested in the wrong things. I am not going to title my posts to suit your opinions.

Yet the OP is just as bad as the advocate by continuing to spread the news about this guy.

I wonder if he got TOPS
TOPS began in 1997 which coincidentally is the year he committed the crime at age 15. He likely got ha GED in prison. If his ACT and a GED qualified him he may have very likely received TOPS. I doubt a criminal record is disqualification for those benefits.
