Pit bull owners will argue with you all day that dachshunds are more aggressive than pit bulls.

The idiots fail to realize that a pit bull is at least five times larger than a dachshund.

And, yeah, people who shoot dogs who enter their yard are trash.

Yep.

If I have to get between my kid and an unleashed large dog, best believe its going to be me or the dog. The fight isn't going to end until one of us is dead.

If the owner shoots me then I guess the dog wins.

I love big dogs, but if I ever owned one that went after someone I'd put it down myself.

There's a difference from fido wandering thru my yard innocently and stray mutt #1 wandering the neighborhood.

If you can't recognize the difference between a friendly do and a dog that feels threatened/is on edge then you have no right to own/train a dog.

If you don't have the patience to discriminate a real threat from an imagined one, you shouldn't own a firearm.

I was a top ten NBA players (negotiable) mothers house the other day and I'm quite certain if the dog got out I would be killed. He was in a small house he has never left. I was trying to perform an estimate and he chewed though the cage enough to almost fit his body through I informed her hey this isn't safe I'll come back when the cage is fixed. She told me how big a sweetheart he is and to not worry. Anyhow i came back and the cage was Jerry rigged and the SOB was going ape shite. I went and grabbed my pistol and finished the estimate, deep down I was hoping he got out and and would just maul me a little before he killed me but I was a little concerned I couldnt make that happen. The damn dogs are vicious.

Fricking this. If a Dachshund gets pissed, it won't cause damage.

Agree. Owners should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. That would eventually deter at least a small percentage of people from owning these dogs.

Bottom line, either by city ordinance, or preferably by state law, they should be illegal to own. Citizens need to petition their legislators to enact a law against the sale, ownership, and breeding of this dog before this happens to someone they know. You will never get people to agree to euthanize all pits. But at least they would die out through natural means in 10 to 15 years.

It should be all dog owners who's dogs attack. If a dog tears my face off, I don't give a shite if it's a pitbull or a Golden Retriever.

A pit will attack to kill.

Chihuahuas/Dachshunds are vicious little assholes but it's a defensive tactic.

To be fair, math was never any pit bull owner's strong suit.

Neither was any other subject.
