I wanted a Member's Only jacket for my birthday (In time to go see E.T. at Bon Marche) So, after the "we couldn't find one in your size in time, but more will be in next week yada yada" my Dad hands me a gift box in the car on the way...i was so excited, knew it was my jacket...
...only to find the label on the pocket said "Club Member"

Yea you are definitely still waiting on membership to the club. I have mine from the 80s but it's too small. Good thing is my dad out grew his. And I am his size at 32. Fits nice

Those quilted coats made by various companies are pretty nice and lighter than you'd expect. Barbour Liddesdale, Peter Millar, etc.

Seriously though...walk in to an office building. Khakis and a polo is pretty normal for the professional cube monkey.

I like Burberry for women, and I like quilted jackets as a dude choice for outerwear, but they need to be outdoorsy, not metro, IMO.
