I have a Hamilton Murph which was designed for the movie Interstellar and I love it. Simple and classy.
Other brands to look into:
Mido (they are very popular in Asia and South America but not here for some reason) I have their Commander Gradient but they also make divers.
I just got a Christopher Ward C60 Atoll. Check that company out too. Pretty young company but watch lovers are all into them. British designed but Swiss made with Sellita movements.
These are all $1k and less and have plenty of options of styles.
